Make an appointment in 3 steps. Step 1: Select a staff member. Step 2: Select an available date. Step 3: Select an available timeslot.

Welcome to AskDCPL Appointments. If you require assistance with things like using a website or applying for a job, please select one of the options below to schedule an appointment with a librarian. If your question is a simple one related to checking out a book or using your library card, consider using our AskDCPL chat or calling the library at 202-727-0321.

Things to know before scheduling an appointment:

  • When you schedule your appointment, please let us know a bit about your request. Do you need assistance with a website, an online application, a library resource, etc.?

  • We will be using Zoom to talk to you over audio and share our computer screens. Please have a microphone enabled on your computer before your appointment. You will NOT be on camera during the appointment, and neither will the librarian.

  • We will ask you to share your computer screen with the librarian so that we can see what you’re working on and assist you. We will get your permission to do this first, and you will be able to stop sharing your computer screen whenever you want.
